Meet Dr. Bloss
When she’s not taking care of patients in her cozy and inviting Montrose dental office, Dr. Christine Bloss might be found hiking or biking, singing, cross-country skiing, stand-up paddleboarding, or playing the piano and harmonica – though not all at the same time!
Other passions include cooking healthy food and gardening. The latter, she makes a family affair: She plants the flowers, and her husband Tom plants the vegetables.
But after family, her first love remains dentistry, which she’s been practicing since earning her DDS from the University of Nebraska in 1991 and completing a general practice residency at the VA Medical Center in Lincoln. (She also holds a BA in Biology and a Master’s in Education from the University of Illinois.)
Her practice has been mercury-free since the mid-1990s.
You want more credentials? How about the fact that Dr. Bloss is an accredited member of the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology and SMART-certified in the safe removal of mercury amalgam fillings? She’s also a member of the American Dental Association, the Colorado Dental Association, and the Western Colorado Dental Society.
And while all dentists are expected to take continuing education to keep their license current, Dr. Bloss is truly a perpetual student. In addition to keeping up with the latest advances in clinical dentistry and oral health, she spends just as much time studying traditional and natural therapies that can promote good health in a non-invasive, nontoxic manner.
Growing up in a household that moved many times during her formative years, Dr. Bloss learned to be friendly, adaptable, and find the good wherever she went. She loves living in western Colorado

“Write it on your heart that every day is the best day in the year.”
